I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Université Laval (Quebec City). I am also an affiliated researcher at the CRÉ (Centre for Ethics, Université de Montréal) and the GRIN (Groupe de recherche interuniversitaire sur la normativité, Université de Montréal), where I lead the “Normativity and Affectivity” research axis.
My areas of research specialization are moral philosophy, moral psychology, and philosophy of action. The core dimension of my research program centers on commitment (as manifested in intentions, resolutions, and engagement in long-term goals). I focus on emotional attitudes of interpersonal trust and hope as ways for temporally-oriented agents to carry themselves into the future.
You can learn more about my research and teaching on this website, where you will also find a copy of my cv.
